I have been on a long and exhausting search for a cheap, cute flower pot (this may be a slight exaggeration, it was about a day). I searched and searched and couldn’t find anything I liked, in a price that I liked. So, obviously, I had to result to gold. As you know, I have a bit of a love affair with gold (see here and here), and I decided that my plants should get to enjoy some gold too. These flower pots are super easy to make and look great.
Materials: flower pot and gold paint pen (I got both at Michael’s)
First, I came up with a pattern and drew it on paper, so I could figure out exactly what I wanted to do and to practice the design. Then I just drew the pattern on the pot free hand. I prefer a more natural, organic look, but if you prefer straighter lines, you can tape sections off. I chose a geometric pattern since my flower pot will be holding a pencil cactus, but you can do whatever your heart desires.
And that’s it! Easy, right? I’ll share another photo in a few weeks once I get my cactus in there.

I couldn’t help but buy a little something when I was at Terrain a few weekends ago. I fell in love with these mugs, with their organic and simple shape. They would make any drink look good.
Pick up some for yourself here!
There’s nothing like a pretty place to give you inspiration. I was able to go to Terrain a few weekends ago and it was overflowing with rustic charm. I mean, just look at these chairs hanging on the barn. At my grandparents’ barn, the only thing hanging off the sides are cobwebs.
They have a cafe where you can get yummy food and drinks.
I want something in my house that is this green color.
We got to peek in one of the sheds where a wedding reception was going to be held later that night. I love the combination of the chairs and those tables.
If there is a Terrain near you, I highly recommend that you stop by.
Have a lovely 4th of July! Be safe and have fun!

I was looking back on some old photos that I took and I found this one below. It seems so peaceful and quiet. There is something about it that stills my thoughts. It’s crazy to think that a simple photo is capable of expressing so much.
This is the card that I made for my friend’s birthday.
I think it’s an all occasion card really. It could be used for a graduation or even Mother’s Day. What mom wouldn’t enjoy this card? Nothing says “I love you” like this card does. That’s some true appreciation there.
This is how my weekend looked. Ok, maybe it’s how it looked a few weekends ago, but better late than never, right?
I picked up this lovely blue chair at a used furniture store for only $30! What a steal! It looks very similar to the shape of this chair, but wayyy cheaper. Of course I had to jazz it up with a pillow and some fur. Then the next day, I got some serious rest and relaxation at the beach. I’d consider that a pretty successful weekend. In reality, I’d call any weekend at the beach successful.
How was your weekend? Any fun finds or adventures?
