Every year my family goes to the beach for a week. This usually includes my parents, my sisters, my niece and nephews and my grandmas…all in one house…fun right? Our annual trip was last week. I am going to warn you, there are a lot of photos (none of my grandmas in their swimsuits, disappointing I know). I’ll post them all through out the week. Here are the first few photos.
Did I ever tell you that I love yard sales? Because I do. I. LOVE. THEM. Here are some of my recent finds:
Cute little bowls. I use them for ice cream. Kind of like I did here.
I hung this gem on the wall in my bedroom.
I really liked the shape of this mirror, but it had a boring wood frame. So, I spray painted it bright blue. Don’t get me wrong, wooden frames can look nice, but this one didn’t (trust me). Now it’s got some spunk.
A handkerchief, for all my boogies.
Actually, I much prefer tissues, so it will not touch my nose. I’m not sure what I will use this for, but I like the pattern.
Last, but not least, this purse with wooden handles.
So, how did I do? Like it? Love it? Hate it?
Sometimes I get really bored with my clothes, ok a lot of times. Since this happens frequently, I can’t just go out and buy new items, so I experiment with what I have.
A few months ago, I bought a lace dress. It needed a slip for under it and I couldn’t find one. So it has been hanging in my closet ever since. I was having one of my “bored with all my clothes” moments and decided to wear it with jeans and a belt. This is the result.
I really like this outfit now. I’ve already worn it twice. We are going to be best friends, I can tell.

Sorry for not giving you any Wise Words for your Monday morning. The reason is, I ran into Captain America the other day (see picture below) and we’ve just been so busy saving the world that I didn’t have time to write you a blog post. You can understand where my priorities stand, can’t you?
But, I will resume with normal frequency (hopefully) the rest of this week.

Yummy! Here’s the recipe. Evidently, it is easy to make (and you don’t need an ice cream maker), but I can’t confirm that, since I never made it.
